One Piece Episode 0 is an animated version of Chapter 0, which is a particular instalment set twenty years before Monkey D. Luffy's adventure and was created to explain the events shown in the movie One Piece: Strong World. It was released in Japan at the end of April 2010.
One Piece Episode 0 is an OVA that was never broadcast like the regular anime episodes. However, it has now been announced that it will be released on the franchise's official YouTube channel on October 13, 2023. One Piece Episode 0 Summary
Monkey D. Garp, a middle-aged man, sets out to confront his archenemy Gol D. Roger in the New World. Meanwhile, Roger and his crew face off against the massive armada commanded by "Golden Lion" Shiki.

Shiki offered Roger to join his crew, but Roger declined the invitation. As the two pirate groups engaged in combat, a sudden storm caused significant damage to Shiki's fleet. Subsequently, the Roger Pirates dealt a crushing defeat to the Golden Lion Pirates, which has since become widely known as the Battle of Edd War.
After successfully reaching Laugh Tale and discovering the One Piece treasure, the Roger Pirates disbanded. Later, their captain, Roger, surrendered to the Marines, and it was announced that he would be executed in Rogue Town, located in the East Blue.
As Shiki attacked Marineford in a fit of rage, Garp and Sengoku joined forces to defeat him. Roger was executed a week later.

As he was taking his last breath, he disclosed that the treasure of One Piece was still out there for anyone who could locate it. In the wake of Roger's declaration, a multitude of people embarked on their journey to find the treasure, which marked the onset of the Great Piracy Era.
A group of young individuals, who will likely become very influential in the coming years, were in Rogue Town to witness the execution of Roger. The group included Monkey D. Dragon, Dracule Mihawk, Shanks, Buggy, Smoker, Donquixote Doflamingo, and Gecko Moria, all of whom were shown from the front, revealing their looks and reactions.
Meanwhile, Crocodile was attacked from behind. One Piece Episode 0 shifted focus to show what various characters worldwide were doing as the Pirate King was executed.
In the island of Baterilla, Portgas D. Rouge was eagerly anticipating the birth of her son, Portgas D. Ace. Meanwhile, in Little Garden, Dorry and Brogy were still locked in their never-ending duel. In Guanhao, the CP9 training ground, Rob Lucci, Blueno, Jabra, Fukuro, and Kumadori were all practicing their skills with great diligence.
In Amazon Lily, Boa Hancock informed her sisters that only the strongest can become pirates. The scene also showed Nefertari Cobra, Oimo, Kashii, Tonjit, Mont Blanc Cricket, and Duval.
After two years of being imprisoned in Impel Down, Shiki managed to escape. His imprisonment came after his defeat by Garp and Sengoku. In order to free himself, Shiki had to amputate his own legs. He later replaced them with his two swords, Oto and Kogarashi.
In Dawn Island, Garp was shown visiting a baby named Ace. While in Shimotsuki Village, Koushirou expressed his wish to be replaced by his son someday, but he ended up having a daughter named Kuina instead. Meanwhile, in Syrup Village, Shanks was searching for Yasopp, and Merry was busy designing a ship.

Various characters from the One Piece series are introduced, including Bell-mère, Zeff, Kureha, Hiriluk, Dalton, Nico Robin, Gaimon, Tom, Crocus, Laboon, Brook, Hatchan, and Silvers Rayleigh. Shiki invited Whitebeard to join him on the Moby Dick, but Whitebeard refused angrily.
After some time, Shiki arrived at Merveille, an island located in the Grand Line, where he met with his second-in-command, Dr. Indigo. During their meeting, Dr. Indigo informed Shiki that their plan would require twenty years of preparation. The episode concluded with Shiki, also known as the "Golden Lion," declaring his intention to use that time to demonstrate to the world what it truly means to be a pirate.
